Four artists join the CreativeLive content team for a candid conversation on mental health and creativity.
The creative's path is filled with peaks and valleys. At best, joy and fulfillment come from art that reflects who we are, what we believe, and the way we see the world. But we also encounter tremendous self-doubt, impostor syndrome, detrimental comparison to others, and severe stress along the way.
Left unchecked, this can take a serious toll on our mental health.
Recently, the CreativeLive content team had the chance to chat with four creative entrepreneurs to hear about their mental health and mindset journeys, the challenges of being an artist, and more.

Beautiful explanation
Hiiii
i just got one thrived off ebay for 129 total first camera
For “Pay a Sincere Compliment”, how would you that work for male photographers? How can we compliment female models without them taking it as “flirting”?
Miniturization set up?
why does he start halfway through? wth?
self-promotion not only enhances your visibility but also boosts confidence, paving the way for achieving countless milestones
🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
<3 I really related to this @jennieandmeredyth
This is the exact video I needed lol thank you
Wow he was so ahead of his time. It's 2024, people - this was recorded in 2015 🤯
Question... Isn't raising the camera up or down on a tripod and sliding it left and right on a nodal rail just as effective?
Exactly what I wanted to use. Thanks
Hi Randy/ Jason, what's the latest version of yer book the Manual (Indie Band Survival Guide)? tx joe in eire
Did anyone write these recipes down?
😍
This is free!? I paid 90 dollars on the website for this video!

Does ANYONE know WHICH white tape he used to attach the parchment paper to the board???
He was right about global shutter and Sony) No he predicts that 8k video will replace photography as a one frame of that 8k 60p is 33 megapixel image!)
Can you set a d200 on BBF?
Amazing advice, thank you Sue. Besides, I really like the wonderful calming ASMR voice.
@JPTV3000
I really like your attitude and art. I really got you with, 'something meaningful to you and the client.' That's your drive, your Passion, coming out in your work. What a great combination of artistry and creating a living. 🌞
Watching this 11 years later, this is a great video. Did sue do the critique of Morgan? Would love to see it
This appears to be lr classic but is not available on web lr.
Destructive interference would be a sick band name
Very inspiring ❤
There is one (big?) disadvantage, I think, to use Back Button as AF lock: AE Lock. E.g., the subject (an animal with lighter fur with darker background) is on the right half of the shot, and I want to use exposure of the animal. If I lock the AF with the back button and move the view of the camera to the left (to make the composition) and press the shutter the exposure will be changed, right? Or I didn't get it correctly?
I am not a great artist...I asked my Art teach" why to I get as high of grades in art class as the two super good artist in class?" She said, It's because of your creative ideas ,everyone in class is waiting for what you come up with next, but the other two are great at drawing, but they never have original ideas of there own like you do. Many years later. I trance medium ( old Irish Gentleman) said many things and they were so correct,so when he said, your spirit Guides are telling me to tell you to keep working with your colored pencils....I was think what? I only did every craft, candels copper and bead work, ceramics Dream catchers, etc. Then at one point in life I was really broke and could not afford craft matetials... But I remembered my ex husband hand bought me a box of prisma colored pencils and paper from when he was an Art teacher....so I got them out. I spent many hours,up to 10 hours every day working on my own idea 's it took me 8 years and it got better and better. I actually got rid of the old stuff. I traded 11 pieces of old work. For a belt at a flea market. Art saved my life. My parents had six children....the were Narrasistic patents and traumatized us. Told us nothing except, sit down shut up, neglected us, went to bed hungry. My little brother and sister and I would watch Saturday cartoons eating raw oat meal, and raw potatoes.... I have...cptsd ptsd, depression/ anxiety disorder, social anxiety, Bipolar 2 disorder. They ruined each child in different ways. Some shut down and became narrasists themselves, bit I turned up my sensitivity and learned to feel my mother's moods, just by walking past her every morning. I became an intuitive empath... My younger sister Ann, turned 50, that year and went into the woods and hanged herself in a tree. She was found by a hiker 17 hours after she died...they would not let us view her, because she hung so long it deformed her face. I mourned very, very deeply, for I loved her as deeply as I love my children, it took 3 years to feel normal again. I may actually have a disorder called complicated mourning, but I don't mourn that deeply for other family members I've lost... Just Ann...my Dad I did. It took 1 year. Yet never cried a tear for my Mother. She was really bad to me. She hated me cause I looked like my Dad... I have an older sister, who stays heavily medicated, and has Bern in bed or on the couch for ten years,it is crippling her body.... So yah....Art saved my life. When I had no where, to go, no money,no friends, I turned to my art....and it kept me going. I do not like to be over medicated, and I have drug resistant depression.... But I had art... I worked hard everyday, I am on full disability. Oh I tried to be out in the world, though I never felt fit in, still don't. I have five portfolios filled. But no money to do anything with it. That's why I watched your video... Ty And blessings 🙌 🙏 of white light and higher vibration 🎉🎉🎉😂
Thank you guys for putting some of this on-line and having Lindsay Adler as your instructor. If I've learned one thing in the 7 weeks I've been working on portraiture, it's that Lindsay is not only creative, but one of the single best educators around. In music, no wasted notes. In dance, now unnecessary steps or movements, in photography (my new hobby), Lindsay has no wasted breath or time - every word is important. I've listened on line to a lot of great photographers, but Lindsay has a singular focus on being an excellent educator/teacher - and has her lesson plan down. She is clear, concise, and her demonstrations are chock full of excellent video and examples of what doing a less preferable thing looks like compared to a more preferable thing. Lindsay, I'm sure you are way to busy to read this since you posted this video 3 years ago - but - when you brought your hand across your shoulder line in the way you did, it reminded me of movement from N.Y. Hustle dance that my instructor (former owner of a NY Studio) taught me and that made me smile. Again, thank you guys for having her and putting this on line, and if I were in New York, I'd be knocking at Lindsay's door dying to learn from her. Super helpful.
Great Video!!!
i dont have autocolor :(
Powerful ❤
I have an general Keynote question. I created and recorded a webinar last year on Keynote and wish to rerecord it but am unable to find the slides. The open recent tab only shows the last 10 slide decks. Is there a way to go back further and fins an old presentation? Many thanks!
Bad camera
I don'T get it.... just position the camera higher?
Great 👍
So…move the microphones around until you get a good sound?
This is a 9year old video that gets to the point thanks again for the content.
This video is so useless. If you're reading this, don't waste your time; all this video was about is to talk about how important it is to smile with your eyes, not how to do it.
Thanks Mate great video very helpful.
Great ❤👍
